Notice where customers get stuck
Look at your last ten enquiries. Did people repeatedly ask what you offer, where you work, how much something starts from or how to book? Those questions may be scattered across old posts, highlights and direct messages.
A website is useful when it gathers that decision information in a stable, easy-to-share place. It does not replace a conversation; it helps the conversation start with better context.
Give each channel a clear role
Use Instagram to show current work, personality and recent activity. Link to a page that explains the service, the customer it suits and the next step. Keep your main contact route consistent so a visitor is not choosing between several conflicting instructions.
For a focused service, a one-page site can present the introduction, proof you can honestly show, process, price information and contact. A broad catalogue may need a larger structure. Choose the format around what people need to decide.

Make the bio link land in the right place
The page reached from your bio should match the promise in the post. If a post promotes a specific service, make it easy to find that service rather than expecting the visitor to search an unrelated page.
Check the link in a mobile browser. Make sure the page loads, the wording matches the post and the contact button works. If you add a source parameter for attribution, avoid putting private user information in it.
Build a destination you can keep current
Register the domain in the business owner’s name and understand which accounts you control. Keep the website’s service details, photos and contacts current even when your posting schedule changes.
A website still depends on hosting and maintenance. It is not magically independent of every platform, but a domain and an organised page give you a destination you can link from several channels rather than tying all information to a social feed.
Check whether the journey helps real enquiries
Ask a person who has not seen the business before to follow the path from a post to the website and explain the offer. Then ask them to find how to enquire. Watch where they hesitate.
Use actual enquiries to improve the page. More followers, page views or button clicks are not automatically more customers. Clear content and reliable follow-up make the journey easier to assess.
A couple of useful answers.
Should I stop using Instagram after launching a website?
No. The channels can complement each other: Instagram for discovery and current work, the website for organised information and contact.
Is a link-in-bio page the same as a business website?
A list of links can help navigation, but it may not explain the service, terms and reasons to choose the business.
